Pilgrimage of Peace led by Jim Thomas
This special presentation by Jim Thomas walks guests through his Pilgrimage of Peace and our collective path toward peace.
In August of 2023, Jim Thomas accompanied Archbishops Paul Etienne and John Wester (Santa Fe) on their Pilgrimage of Peace to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, for a commemoration of the atomic bombings. Not only will we encounter the powerful story of his grace-filled journey, but we will be invited to participate in peacemaking on behalf of our wonderful, wounded world. Our morning together will end with time to reflectively walk the grounds.

Jim Thomas
Jim has more than forty years experience on nuclear weapons issues including a walking pilgrimage to Bethlehem (1982-1983) and uncovering the secrets of the Hanford plutonium factory. While at Gonzaga University, his master’s thesis examined the morality of nuclear deterrence. He is the author of the forthcoming memoir Atomic Pilgrim: How a 6700-mile Walk Helped...
